College Success
While there are multiple programs that serve youth through high school and into college it has become increasingly clear that first generation students from challenging backgrounds face huge obstacles in completing college and entering careers. The Jamie and Denise Jacob Family Foundation supports organizations that provide holistic, research based, high quality services for their students to help them thrive in college and prepare for rewarding careers.
A Deep Dive into Impactful Partnership
The Jacob Scholars Program was created in the 2021-22 academic year to support Wayne State University (WSU) students at the College of Nursing (CON). The Jacob Scholars program provides academic support to nursing students in an effort to diminish the social determinants that impede the successful retention and completion of students from underrepresented communities.
